The next reader we’re highlighting as we amp up for the next Essay Fiesta (Sept. 19 at the Book Cellar at 7 p.m.) really doesn’t need much of an introduction. She may very well hold the record for most Essay Fiesta appearances, and, if our memories serve us correctly, she may have even read at the first show! That’s right. It’s Janna Sobel.
Janna is a writer and improviser. She’s performed throughout Chicago at iO, Second City and the Old Town School of Folk Music, among other venues. She currently teaches performance at the Second City Youth Training Center, and she is one of the creators of the solo performance series Here’s the Story.
