Hi Essay Fiesta fans! It’s been a little while since we’ve blogged. Sorry about that. It’s been a busy summer, and boy is this heat getting to us! But the blazing sun didn’t stop throngs of attendees from filling the Book Cellar on Monday, helping to raise $140 for 826CHI! Go you!
Now down to brass tacks. There are a couple neat things in the art scene you should be privy of, if the art scene is your thing.
First, the City of Chicago released its draft version of its much-anticipated cultural plan. You can download it here. Please peruse at your leisure. They want your feedback, so let’s give it to them!
Next, the Chicago Writers Conference is coming up on Sept. 14-16. Don’t miss your chance to register for this inaugural event.
