Essay Fiesta is about to celebrate its 3rd year. And it will be a bittersweet birthday as we say farewell to our hosts and producers Keith Ecker and Alyson Lyon. The show’s creators are heading off into the sunset, but the show will remain. That’s right, Keith and Alyson are handing the reigns to two new producers — Willy Nast and Karen Shimmin (the blonder versions of Keith and Alyson). Alyson will be devoting more time to her freelance make-up artist business, while Keith is going to continue hosting his new show, Guts & Glory: Live Lit for the Lionhearted (every third Wednesday of the month at Powell’s on Lincoln Ave.).
The 3rd anniversary show has a stellar line-up with some old and new readers, many of whom have a special place in Essay Fiesta’s history. We’ll also be giving away some fantastic prizes and donating all proceeds to 826CHI.
