Hello Essay Fiesta fans! We are always thrilled to see the genesis of a new reading series. It means more opportunities to share stories and listen to stories. Well, there’s a new kid on the block that we think you all should know about: Story Lab.
Run by Chicago Story Collective member Scott Whitehair, Story Lab aims to be a forum for up-and-coming writing talent. If you’re new on the spoken-word story scene, Story Lab is for you.
The new series starts Wednesday Jan. 19 at 7:30 p.m. at Black Rock on Damen Ave. Here’s the line-up (Note that our good friend Michael Van Kerckhove will be sharing a piece):
