On June 18th, we will be a few short days away from the summer solstice, the day of the year on which the daylight glows longest. After the solstice, of course, the sun shines less and less each day. As early as the Fourth of July, while distracted by flashy exploding things, we will already be barreling toward another dark, cold winter – and ultimately toward our own extinction from this planet.
ANYWAY. Come on down to The Book Cellar on Monday, June 18th at 7 pm, for a lineup that will almost make you forget the impending darkness and gloom that foreshadows our inevitable ruin:
- Performer and Harrison Ford Expert Eileen Tull
- Ju Jitsu-er and Storyteller Natasha Tsoutsouris
- Writer/Scholar/Activist Joy Ellison
- Writer/Educator/Political Wunderkind Jeff Schultz
The show is free, as always, but bring some cash (which will be worthless after civilization’s collapse) to donate to 826CHI.
