For our first installment of our writer bios for the upcoming Essay Fiesta (taking place May 17th at 7 p.m. at the Book Cellar), we are profiling a returning writer whose generosity has helped us keep our raffle going since our inception.
Mary Wagner is an award-winning essayist, photographer and prosecutor with a penchant for Belgian chocolate, Irish castles, great shoes, long clean shorelines, classic cartoons, big skies and Lee Child “Reacher” novels. She’s worn many hats, figuratively and possibly literally, including mother of four, girl scout leader, truckstop waitress, cocktail waitress, office temp, judicial clerk, and radio talk show host.
She is also the author of two collections of essays: Running with Stilettos and Heck on Heels.
Mary’s donations of beautiful framed photography have been raffled off at previous Essay Fiestas. There are still a couple pictures left to raffle off, so come to an upcoming Essay Fiesta for your chance to win one!
