Returning for his second time at the mic, stand-up comic and big-time producer Adam Guerino will be gracing the Book Cellar’s cafe at the next Essay Fiesta.
Adam hails from the great state of Iowa where he learned many of his life lessons, most of which involved corn. He now resides in Chicago where he produces the glam-fabulous shows Art Haus and Nightcaps (both at Berlin Nightclub).
Art Haus is a monthly artist expo that allows local creatives to get together, workshop and perform in a chill nightclub environment.
Conversely, Nightcaps (co-produced by the delicious Puterbaugh Sisters) is a variety show on acid. It’s the only show we’re you’re going to see a burlesque dancer cover herself in glitter that she pours from a Jack Daniels bottle (and yet it was very, very tasteful and thought-provoking).
So come check out Adam and the rest of the readers May 17 at 7 p.m. As always, the show is free with a raffle that benefits Howard Brown.
