We here at Essay Fiesta love reading series. That’s why we produce one. It’s also why we’re especially pleased to welcome Dana Norris to our show.
Dana is the founder and host of Story Club, a monthly reading series at Uncommon Ground in Lakeview. Story Club is one of the only series in town that has an open mic. Prior to the open mic portion of the show, a handful of featured writers read selections of non-fiction and fiction. You never know who you’re going to see at Story Club!
Dana also has a long history in education. This girl has more degrees than the sand at the beach! She’s also won the AWP Intro Journal’s Creative Non-Fiction Prize, she was an honorable mention for the Writers Studio Student Prize, she was a finalist for the Guild Complex Non-Fiction Prize and she’s a contributor to Praxis Magazine.
