As you know, Essay Fiesta is very supportive of the gay community. Each show, we raise money for the GLBT-focused health organization Howard Brown. That’s why it probably comes as no surprise that we’re giving a big shout out to Pride Month!
This is the month to celebrate the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender communities! There have been all kinds of Pride-related events this month, but none is more popular than the Annual Pride Parade in East Lakeview. And guess who will be there? Essay Fiesta’s own Alyson and Keith!
Here’s the deats:
When: Sunday, June 27, starting at 12pm
Parade Route: From the corner of Halsted and Belmont, proceeding North on Halsted to Broadway; then South on Broadway to Diversey; then East on Diversey to Cannon Drive in Lincoln Park
Grand Marshall: Recently out country singer Chely Wright
