Tonight, Essay Fiesta’s Keith and Alyson are going to check out the last night of Solo Homo 8. This is an annual storytelling series put on by the wonderful people at NewTown Writers.
NewTown Writers is one of the oldest writing collectives on Chicago’s North Side. The group of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered writers hold regular workshops and meetings. It also publishes a literary anthology called Off the Rocks and the e-zine Swell.
Solo Homo 8 is part of Chicago’s Pride festivities. Pride celebrates the contributions of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered communities.
So come out and see Solo Homo 8 tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the Strawdog Theatre!
