Hello Essay Fiesta fans! Continuing in our series of “Why So-And-So Is Awesome,” we arrive at Jen Bosworth.
After a stint in L.A., Jen returned to her hometown of Chicago. Armed with an acting background, she decided to break into the world of storytelling by starting Stories at The Store. That’s when her path crossed with Essay Fiesta’s and the universe was forever changed.
Jen has a gift for comedy. Her writing is at times outlandish and absurd, but it is always underpinned by honesty and truth. Whether she’s writing about sex dreams with Joe Pesci or her Guatemalan mother, Jen knows how to bring a room to its knees with laughter.
Come see the amazing Jen Bosworth on Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. at the Book Cellar. As always, we’ll be benefiting the Howard Brown Health Center.
Speaking of which, the Howard Brown Health Center needs your help. The organization is facing a $500,000 budget shortfall. It must raise these funds within the next 50 days or face shutting its doors. Don’t just wait until Essay Fiesta. Consider making a donation today.
