Happy hump day! Essay Fiesta is just a few short days away. Join us on the 16th (MLK Day for you calendar junkies) at 7 p.m. for a night of funny, poignant and personal stories. Although our January show is full of new faces, we do have one Essay Fiesta alumni returning to the mic: David Berner.
David is an author, journalist and broadcaster. His memoir Accidental Lessons won the 2011 Dragonfly Book Award Grand Prize for Literature. He was also named a 2011 Writer in Residence for the Jack Kerouac Project, which meant he got to live in Jack’s house! Yeah, 2011 was a good year for David.
