David Boyle recently performed his original solo play “An Accidental Organist” at the inaugural Elgin Fringe Festival. He is the artistic director of Chicago Solo Theatre and hosts their monthly show “It’s Personal” on the 2nd Saturday of the month in the south loop.
Scott Stealey has worked as an editor for both Playboy and Poetry magazines, which should tell you something about the contradictions in his life. He’s published stories, essays, and journalism both online and in print, and Featherproof Books even has one story as a PDF, which is somewhere in between.
M. Molly Backes is the author of the young adult novel The Princesses of Iowa (Candlewick Press, 2012). She writes the “Writing Tips” column for The Prairie Wind (the newsletter of the Illinois Chapter of SCBWI), and has performed her personal essays at reading series across Chicago including Essay Fiesta, Funny Ha-Ha, Sunday Salon, and Is This a Thing? She works as an editor by day and writer by night and spends her free time hanging out with her retired racing greyhound, Zia.
Virginia Fox is a rewired actress and storyteller, after retiring from corporate marketing jobs a few years ago. She has performed at Chicago Cultural Center, Story Lab, Do Not Submit and Boutique Theatre. She lives half the year in Puerto Vallarta and the other in Chicago. (You guess which one.)
Diana Slickman is a Theater Oobleck company member and one of the girls in BoyGirlBoyGirl, a solo performance ensemble. She performs her work a various live lit events around town. Next month she’ll be appearing at The Side Project in Jet Black Chevrolet by Scott Barsotti.
